There is a young man named Will who is accepted to be trained by Ranger named Halt. Will trains hard and learns the techniques of the Rangers. Halt takes will to a rangers meeting and discovers that a plot by Morgarath, who is moving creatures by night into Araluen. Will and halt go to intercept them before they get to the king, and ultimately succeed destroying him.

I like this book so much that I can’t stop reading it. It’s adventurous, entertaining, and sometimes funny.

Some readers who enjoy adventure, entertainment, and humorous moments will like this book. The problem is that at the beginning of the book it’s slow but after a while it picks up speed and gets entertaining.

Baseball Cards

Baseball cards are awesome because you get to trade, buy, and sell them for cash for your stash of cash.

Baseball cards are one of my most prized possessions. They tell me stats of how good the players are. Then they usually tell me there biography about which position they play. On the front they show awesome pictures of the players.

Baseball cards give me stats. Stats are called in a more complicated way is statistics. Stats give how many R.B.I and HR (Home Runs).They also show how good the players were back then. An example is Mickey Mantle, George Herman Ruth (Babe Ruth) and Ty Cobb

Baseball cards tell me about the player’s history. All of my cards said where and when they were born. They also tell me how old the players are. 2 other things are there position like LF or left field, first base and C as for catcher. The other one is the teams like that for. The team here in Tampa Florida, is the Tampa Bay Devil Rays but now they are called the Tampa Bay Rays.

Baseball cards show on the front pictures of the players. In some pictures the show amazing catches and moments, like Carl Crawford for the Tampa Bay Rays jumping the wall in left field at the All-Star game. The pictures also show the players batting stance for pitcher pitch. Also how the uniforms were now to back then.

Baseball cards have been collected for years and years to come. Baseball cards because they give me stats, tells me their biography, and cool pictures. I can see their stance for batting; see their famous stats, and their position for ball games. That’s the reason I love my baseball cards so much.

Charles John Huffman Dickens was born on February 7, 1812 in Portsmouth, Hampshire, England. His father was the clerk in the navy pay office, and his mother was Elizabeth nee Barrow. He had one older brother named Francis, and six younger siblings. His father, John Dickens was sent to Marshalsea prison because the house expenses were rising, and he was in debt. At age twelve Charles was sent to Warren's Shoe Blacking Factory to help support the family.He lived in a boarding house in Camden town, and was only able to visit his father on Sundays. At a very young age he was an orphan, and doing child labour. Many of his characters are based on his own experiences for example, Oliver Twist, David Copperfield, and Philip Pirrip. His father was able to send him to Wellington House Academy in London as a pupil from 1824-1827. In 1827 the Dickens were once again kicked out of their home for unpaid rent ,and Charles was forced to leave school. He then got a job as a clerk in the law firm of Ellis and Blackmore. He learned many different styles of writing and became a court reporter. Charles spent all of his spare time reading in library's, and studying acting. In 1830 he fell in love with Maria Beadnell, and a few years later her father sent her to school in Paris. He then moved out, and lived in Furnival's Inn in Holborn. His first article was published in the Monthly Magazine, and he began reporting for many different businesses. In 1870 Charles Dickens died, and went down as one of the greatest writers of all time writing more than thirty four books, and more than twenty seven short stories.

The point of view is 3rd person view.

The setting takes place in San Francisco, California in 1906 Jacob was in the middle when the earth quake strike.

Summary (at least 500 words)
I read a story about a young boy by the name of Jacob Kaufman , who is the age of thirteen , living in the year , 1906 in San Francisco .Jacob lives with his sister and dad where he witnesses an earthquake in the city , where he sees buildings falling down and watches as the earth shakes before , him causing great devastation to everything surrounding him . Jacob thought the world was coming to a quick end and he was
horribly frightened as he felt helpless in stopping the earthquake from taking place near his boarding house .
The words of harshness that were spoken by Jacob 's dad were on his mind and he was terribly worried for the safety of him and his little sister, Sophie. Jacob had no other choice but to run to find a place of
safety until the earthquake was over and his life was luckily , spared .There were terrible fires raging everywhere and when Jacob returns to the place where he formally lived , he finds his family but the boarding
house where they had lived was destroyed .Jacob and his dog are able to help out during this difficult time and they save the life of a very young Chinese boy by the name of San , who then joins with Jacob and they go on a search to find their lost family members . They have to find food to eat and also a place to sleep .
Jacob quickly learns how San is a target of abuse because of his nationality and is able to befriend San as they learn about true friendship.
